Can anyone explain to me how aerodynamic works on tear drop shapes and airfoil shapes ?
Will it influence the speed of car ? Will it create a great downforce for the car and reduce the drag coefficient readings ?
The main science behind an airfoil is to create lift or downforce depending on which way the foil is oriented. It creates a low pressure area under the foil (wing) which in turn gives lift to the wing. Creating downforce is one thing to provide more traction and stability to a car, but it will not reduce drag unless it helps direct the flow better over the car. Take a look at the cars used for the long distance solar cell powered cars, they are probably the most aerodynamic within the design guidelines. If your question is focused on shapes used for items like suspension, then the idea is to maintain strength, but in turn reduce the frontal area (area directly exposed to the airflow) of the component.
